We are looking for a Compliance and Operations Associate to help manage and develop all aspects of reporting compliance with the Investment Company Act of 1940 (“1940 Act”) and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (“Advisers Act”) for Bivium and underlying managers, as well as assist in operations and finance. A successful candidate will have experience with performance calculations and compliance reporting, be an intelligent, confident, independent/self-starter with a diverse skill set, excellent organizational and communication skills, a passionate attention to detail, be comfortable working independently, possess a positive attitude, and the ability to both strategically design and tactically implement Bivium’s programs. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Compliance Responsibilities:
· Administering effective and efficient written compliance procedures and testing protocols
· Administering the Code of Ethics
· Conducting annual reviews of Bivium’s compliance program; write annual review reports,
· Conducting due diligence of the compliance programs of investment managers engaged by the firm, including administering and designing quarterly questionnaires,
· Reviewing marketing materials and email
· Staying current with all changes to applicable rules and regulations
· Maintaining of Restricted Lists through our proprietary software
· Performing special projects and other duties as assigned
Operations Responsibilities:
· Reduce costs of operations, administration and production
· Interfacing with institutional clients regarding operations matters
· Calculation of quarterly fees and billing
· Aiding with Client requests and expectations
· Interfacing with underlying managers related to fulfillment of their reporting obligations
· Addressing facility needs; manage vendors and vendor due diligence
· Assist the CCO in managing project goals with a special attention on accountability to timelines
· Identify weaknesses/risks and propose solutions
