The Sector Sales Specialist distributes the SPDR Select Sector ETFs, drives Sector fund adoption and owns business results as part of the Sector ETF Sales Specialist team. The Sector Sales Specialist will partner with our Client Coverage Group to drive Select Sector ETF engagement with Retail brokerage platforms using Sector ETFs. The Sales Specialist will play a key role in growing our Select Sector ETF franchise and serve as an expert for Sector investing in their assigned client coverage.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

As a Sector Sales Specialist you will
Be responsible for providing client-facing expertise supporting the Select Sector SPDR ETFs for State Street IM’s Client Coverage Group across Retail brokerage platforms, seeking platform placements, approvals pursuing increased usage of Sector ETFs
Educate clients on the benefits of sector investing via client meetings, presentations and industry panels
Partner with Markets Intelligence team to uncover current and potential users of Select Sector ETFs
Deliver thought leadership related to Sector ETF’s place in portfolios and methods for incorporating Sector investing in investment allocations
Provide a deep understanding of the SPDR Sector ETF range, competitive landscape, industry trends, and product attributes
These skills will help you succeed in this role
Sector investing sales, strategist or portfolio management experience
Understanding of the options markets and how they interact with the Select Sector ETFs
An ability to discuss the short-term qualitative and quantitative factors driving sector returns
An understanding of the benefits of Select Sector ETF’s liquidity and competitive advantages
Strong communication and public speaking skills
Ability and willingness to travel consistently across assigned geographic territory
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of investment experience
- National Account relationships preferred
- CIMA, CFA or other professional designations preferred
- Current securities licenses (Series 7 and Series 63) preferred or the ability to attain
- Clean compliance and U4 record required
- Knowledge of equity markets and portfolio construction
- In-depth knowledge of Sector investing
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Positive, collaborative attitude with a strong team orientation
- Available for travel 50-75%

Salary Range:
$130,000 - $205,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
