Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified accounting professional for the Controller position. The Controller will have overall responsibility for preparing and maintaining all firm accounting records: Financial Statements, General Ledger, Cash reconciliation, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset and Depreciation records, Accruals, Payroll and Human Resource records.  In addition, the Controller works closely with the finance committee, auditors, tax preparer, banking contacts, and benefits consultants.  The Controller will also lead the firm’s transition to a new accounting system with the assistance and support of the current Controller prior to his retirement.


·              Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred

·              7 – 10 years accounting experience

·              Strong understanding of GAAP

·              Strong problem solving and communication skills

·              Results oriented, accountable, motivated and flexible

·              Self-starter able to balance multiple tasks and work independently

·              Comfortable with flat organization and able to excel with limited supervision

·              Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office products preferred
