Job Description:
The Senior Credit Manager (SCM) is a client-facing role responsible for leading a regional team of Credit Advisors (CA) and Credit Officers (CO) delivering credit solutions to Merrill clients. The credit organization is charged with developing new credit relationships, driving funded loan balance and revenue growth in a responsible and profitable manner, and managing existing credit relationships with wealth clients. The SCM sets the strategy and tactics for their regional credit advisor team, builds strong working relationships with LOB partners, and takes personal ownership for managing all types of risks. The SCM is an enterprise talent leader, an enterprise advocate and communicator, a champion of diversity and inclusion, leads by example, models what right looks like and inspects, coaches, and improves the performance of direct reports.

Required Qualifications:
• 15 plus years of commercial credit or wealth management credit experience or a combination of lending and credit experience
• Established, proactive leader with strong interpersonal skills, polish, and executive presence
• A leader in managing talent: selection, development and coaching
• Strong time and operational management skills
• Familiarity with cash flow credit skills and related market influences (profiling, structuring, underwriting, pricing, delivery)
• Prior experience required with a financial institution focusing on sales, preferably in the high net worth space
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to influence others while building strong partnerships and retaining credibility

Pay and benefits information
Pay range
$175,000.00 - $300,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
