Position Overview:
The Finance & Investment Management Summer Intern participates in an immersive eight‑week rotational internship with CrossCountry Mortgage, gaining hands‑on experience across Portfolio Risk Management, Transaction Management, Secondary Marketing, and Finance/Treasury. The Intern rotates through two four‑week assignments on different teams, contributes to meaningful project work, and delivers a final presentation to organizational leadership. The internship offers opportunities in both Finance and Investment Management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in a structured orientation and team training.
- Complete a four‑week assignment with one team, followed by a rotation to a second team for the final four weeks.
- Contribute to team projects such as risk assessments and simulations, transaction‑lifecycle activities, market analysis, secondary‑market operations, financial reporting, and analysis of financial statements or scenarios.
- Collaborate with team members to develop a final project and present findings to leadership.
- Attend weekly check-ins with team leaders and mentorship sessions.
- Participate in networking events and cross-team workshops.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Interest in financial services and operational functions.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or Tableau, preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Skilled in clear communication and effective collaboration in team environments.
- Commitment to the designated schedule for the eight‑week program period.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
