JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Director of Investments, the Associate Director, Investments is responsible for preparing and maintaining standardized and ad-hoc reports on portfolio investments and potential investments. This includes, working with analysts and other EIM team members to develop expertise in maintaining, updating, and improving data environment; managing monthly, quarterly, and annual investment performance and analytics reporting; and liaising with operations to ensure data integrity of cash flow, composite, and performance calculations. This position is also responsible for developing infrastructure to support multi-asset class portfolio analytics, including, Performance measurement and attribution, Top down asset class, sector and geographic look through and bottoms up security details. The Associate Director, Investments will support Directors and Managing Directors with investment due diligence. This includes, attending current and prospective manager meetings, preparing and participating in investment due diligence process and actively monitoring the legal and operational due diligence process. The Associate Director, Investments will be responsible for developing a network of investment managers, peers, and other trustworthy sources to assist in potential investment activity and sourcing. This includes, attending meetings, conferences and other industry events, actively participating in reference calls and positively contributing and enhancing the Emory Investment Management brand and name recognition. This position will also provide mentoring to analyst(s) performing Investment Analysis. Participates in the creation and development of a relationship with the Goizueta Business School through summer internship and other scholastic programs. Performs related responsibilities as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or another analytical/quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, and engineering or sciences, and five years of investment risk management or related experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, including the ability to extract information from large sets of data points and computer programming experience. CFA designation preferred. Knowledge of investment management software tools desirable.
