Job Description:
- Establish and cultivate relationships with Internal Sales Management and Internal Business Consultants
- Uncover opportunities that could enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Internal Sales Desk
- Provide superior support by providing timely reports, conducting research, and collaborating on ongoing projects
- Participate in roundtable discussions and feedback sessions around effective sales strategies
- Maintain competitive intelligence by attending meetings, engaging other internal departments to understand John Hancock's internal strategies
- Help coordinate advisor events and attendance partnering with external business consultants (BCs) and IBCs in your division
- Assist in continuing education (CE) reporting process for large events
- Work with other summer interns on a project throughout the duration of summer and present findings
Required skills and qualifications:
- Entering junior or senior year in an undergraduate bachelors’ program with a declared major in business majors preferred
- Interested in full-time employment in financial services post-graduation
- High level of interest in the capital markets with a strong desire to obtain sales experience within the financial services industry
- Demonstrated relationship management skills, including the ability to work in a team environment
- Strong time management, detail-oriented, strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly while applying creativity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to meet business needs
- Prioritizing work to ensure that the largest sales opportunities are executed on
- Use segmentation information provided to focus on the opportunities with the greatest future potential in a given territory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
