Who we are looking for
The Vice President of Internal Communications will play a critical role in helping State Street Investment Management to communicate effectively to employees, clients and other key stakeholders to help drive employee engagement in support of business goals. Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: developing communications plans and activities that foster employee engagement, further alignment to and understanding of our strategic vision and enhance our workplace culture; writing, editing distributing company communications through email, digital platforms and the intranet; and liaising with external communications, HR and senior leaders.

This position will work closely with the Head of Communications for State Street Investment Management and the Global Head of Internal Communications at State Street Corporation, in addition to business leaders across the Investment Management business to promote an understanding of business priorities and value proposition.
What you will be responsible for
As Vice President, Internal Communications, you will:
- Develop internal communications strategies that connect people to the company's vision, strategy, culture and operations, constantly exploring innovative and better ways to share information
- Provide communications counsel and support to senior leaders to ensure clear and consistent messaging throughout the organization. Position senior executives as trusted voices through speeches, media engagement, thought leadership, and internal communication campaigns.
- Create and execute comprehensive communications plans to support organizational initiatives, announcements and change management efforts.
- Develop strategies for disseminating information across various channels, such as email, intranet and digital platforms.
- Produce engaging, informative and compelling content for internal communications, including articles, presentations, videos, social media and other multimedia materials. Ensure messages are concise, consistent and aligned with the company’s brand and values.
- Develop programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement. Coordinate town halls meetings and other events that promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Collaborate with senior leaders, HR and PR to develop communications plans and strategies during periods of organizational change, market disruption or other reputation-impacting situations
Education & Preferred Qualifications
Required Skills or Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of experience in communications.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to manage, prioritize and balance competing goals.
- Consistent track record of successfully developing and implementing strategic, tactical and operational communications plans.
- Ability to influence and counsel senior management.
- Financial services experience is a plus.
- Fluency with Microsoft Office suite.

Salary Range:
$120,000 - $210,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
