State Street Investment Management Data, Analytics & AI Services (DAAIS) team is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Data Product and Execution Manager, Vice President to join our Boston office. This senior role is responsible for driving the delivery of advanced data product solutions that support our investment management business. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in investment data domain, product lifecycle execution, data pipeline development, and team leadership within the financial services sector.
Responsibilities:
- Lead an agile product manager, data analyst, and engineering team in a matrix organization to deliver innovative solutions that address evolving business and client requirements.
- Collaborate with global teams to execute cross-border projects and continuously enhance best practices in data product solutions.
- Mentor and develop junior data product manager, data analyst, and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
- Oversee data demand and problem rationalization, product feature design, and data workflow for both structured and unstructured data, leveraging AI technologies.
- Pioneer the design and development of data agents using agentic AI frameworks.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.
- Minimum 17 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- At least 15 years of hands-on experience in core data domains in asset management industry such as security master, holding, benchmark, transactions, orders, and corporate actions.
- At least 15 years of hands-on experience with exchanged traded and OTC financial instruments such as equity, FX, options, derivatives, and fixed income.
- At least 10 years of data product management experience and proficient with product lifecycle management and business driven execution.
- Proficiency in modern data management tools (e.g., Databricks) and programming languages (Python, SQL); familiarity with AI code generation tools such as Anthropic Code, Codex, and GitHub Copilot.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with unstructured data (e.g., 13F filings, news, social media).
- Demonstrated expertise in investment research, portfolio construction and management, trading and risk management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple countries.
- Results-driven, detail-oriented, and candid in approach.
Any of the following is highly desirable:
- Prior experience in a data product or engineering role within a financial institution.
- Experience with structured and unstructured data management tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, document management systems).
- Completion of CFA Level II, FRM, or equivalent certification.
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $217,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
