Description
This is a three-year rotational program with Emory Investment Management (EIM), involving rotations on the Public Markets Team, Private Markets Team, Operations Team, and Risk Team.
The Investment Analyst serves as an integral member of EIM. EIM is responsible for the asset allocation, investment management, and oversight of Emory's endowment. The endowment has more than $12 billion in a portfolio of diversified, global investments across all asset classes.
EIM's office consists of four teams: Public Markets, Private Markets, Risk, and Operations. The investment teams focus on global equity, hedge funds, commodities, fixed income, private equity, venture capital, natural resources, and real estate opportunities. The Public Markets Team invests globally and oversees both active and passive direct investments. The Private Markets Team invests in global private equity funds and venture capital funds in addition to direct co-investments. The Risk Team manages the endowment's strategic risk management and operational due diligence. The Operations Team monitors the operational aspects of the portfolio, as well as performance calculation and reporting.
After three years, Analysts often have numerous career paths including graduate business school, transitioning to buy side investment firms including hedge funds or private equity firms, or continuing their careers in asset management.
