Role Summary
The Client Service Billing Analyst supports multiple phases of the client billing lifecycle, with a primary focus on billing inquiries, fee setup review, fee summary creation and distribution, and accounts receivable follow-up. The role partners closely with internal business teams to ensure accurate billing, timely issue resolution, and a high-quality client experience.
This position reports directly to the Vice President, IM Billing.
You Will
- Serve as a lead team member responsible for monitoring, assigning, and responding to inquiries received through the Revenue Operations email inbox from external clients and internal business partners, including ad hoc reporting requests.
- Research and resolve billing questions and issues in partnership with the Parametric Billing Solutions, Client Service, and Sales teams, including preparation of ad hoc reporting as needed.
- Support the Parametric Billing Solutions, Client Service, and Sales teams by providing guidance on key billing account setup requirements that drive accurate client billing and revenue recognition.
- Create and distribute customized quarterly fee summaries for an assigned book of business, including completion of required quality control reviews.
- Independently manage Accounts Receivable collection efforts by documenting all client communications, providing monthly status updates, and escalating and resolving issues as they arise.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Parametric data transfer and ETL logic as it relates to the Client Billing application.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and recommend enhancements to billing policies, processes, and procedures.
- Monitor, research, and resolve Credit Tracker items.
- Maintain quarterly fee upload logs, including review, tracking, and resolution of fee upload failures.
- Monitor the WAM workflow tool for billing group update submissions; interpret contract language, validate submissions, and complete billing group updates in the CRM system (Argos).
- Manage, manipulate, and interpret large volumes of data to support billing accuracy, reporting, and analysis.
Skills, Abilities, and Education
- One to three years of relevant client service and finance experience within the financial services industry is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to prioritize competing demands while maintaining clear and proactive communication regarding deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to report data accurately and reconcile information against source documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently on billing deliverables and projects to achieve desired results.
- Undergraduate degree required, accounting and/or finance preferred

Salary range for the position: $60,000 - $90,000 /Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
