Program Overview
WIM Early Careers seeks to attract, develop, and retain recent college graduates to our Wealth & Investment Management division. Our goal is to build bench strength and increase our commitment to inclusion in WIM.
The Wells Fargo Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) Analyst Program is ideal for recent undergraduates interested in working in a collaborative environment focused on personal and professional development.
Participants will be placed with a team in one of the WIM lines of business below. Over a two-year, non-rotational period analysts will engage in intensive deep-dive sessions focusing on our key businesses, group project work, coaching and mentoring, and exposure to key leaders. Anticipated roles responsibilities include investment management, financial analytics, project management, consulting, and beyond in a “home office” or “middle/back office” environment. Analyst roles will not be directly client-facing.
- Banking, Lending & Trust: Center of Excellence providing access to highly experienced and credentialed professionals that deliver cash management, complex custom credit, and trust services directly to clients. Our bankers and trust specialists are typically part of a relationship-based team and work together to deliver a "white glove" service and best-in-class products to Wells Fargo's high-net-worth clients.
- Investment Solutions: Provides WIM's investment expertise, solutions, and product offerings. This includes Wells Fargo Investment Institute, which creates core investment strategies, investment research, and other forms of intellectual capital to support WIM.
- Client Relationship Group: The Client Relationship Group (CRG) partners with branch and advisor channels to drive client retention, growth, and efficient servicing. The group enables success at scale by providing field leadership, sales support, recruiting, platform enablement, and supervisory coordination to help advisors and teams effectively acquire, onboard, serve, and retain clients.
- Other WIM lines of business include – AI & Data Management, Digital & Direct Investing, and Shared Services and Branch Support.
Professional development during the program centers on growing communication and presentation skills, product and market educational sessions, personal branding and awareness, and project team assignments supporting strategic initiatives. After completion of the development program, participants are placed within a business that fits their skill set and readiness level.
In this role you will:
- Maintain daily contact with leaders at all levels of the organization including senior management, team members, individual contributors, and vendors.
- Provide customer service to clients and internal employees, as necessary.
- Understand processes and workflows to make recommendations for process improvements.
- Bring closure to issues, questions, and requests. Solve problems independently.
- Understand business needs and provide possible solutions by explaining in clear verbal and/or written communications to customers and/or management.
- Consistently learn new systems, applications, processes, and techniques.
- Lead or participate in projects or support activities, which are moderate in size and organization span.
Required Qualifications, US:
- 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Financial Planning or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2026-June 2027
- Ability to use critical thinking and basic data analysis to evaluate financial, economic, or investment decisions; shows curiosity, adaptability, and a strong learning mindset.
- Demonstrates initiative, delivers high-quality work, and supports product and operational excellence with a strong understanding of business impact
- Works effectively in teams, communicates clearly, builds strong relationships, and contributes to an inclusive environment while actively seeking and applying feedback
- Demonstrates understanding of business and financial concepts to support investment and product strategies and contribute to client-focused outcomes through coursework, projects, or internships
- Demonstrates integrity and sound judgment while identifying and managing risk in academic, professional, or project-based settings
- Active participation in extracurricular or enrichment activities, including leadership, volunteer, or student organization experience
- Successful completion of 2026 Wealth & Investment Management Summer Internship - Early Careers or 2026 Trust Services Internship Program - Early Careers
Job Expectations
- Ability to travel 5% or more of the time
Program Duration: Two years, full-time
Program Locations: Charlotte, NC; and St. Louis, MO.
